Final video, reflection on holiday video ( by Blanca & Zoie)

I feel that me and my partner did a good job in editing the clips and putting them toghter to make it flow. The stories we did were interesting and fun to talk about. The music in the background was very cheerful and we thought it fit both of the cultures that we talked about. I would like to have put a boarder around our video like kenzzys group.I needed more time for the ending statement to put zoeis video also.

5 things I learned from other videos

1. I Learned that there is many sources that can help you understand this topic about cyberbulling.
2.You can make a diffrence in someones life by helping them with stoping cyberbuling.
3. Cyberbulilng happens everywhere...

This video was made in a organized was especially at the end when you have your steps "STOP,BLOCK,AND TELL. I feel that the shifting from Mr.Vella and the poeple texting was a effective strategie that helped the visual. The part when a guy walks out is a awesome idea, it helps us visualize the leaving from the darkness to the brightside of things.
The lower third that appears when Mr.Vela is talking is nice becsue it gives the person seeing the video a diffrent perspective of his name. At the begining when you see all the phones,the transtion inbetween helps us see the diffrent phones.





The title at the beginging is nice, it is a bolded red witch helps the person seeing it think its important.The diffrent pictures matching the iformation being said is good also , especially in the part when the phones appear and they are explaining the meaning of cyberbulilng. The transion of the pictures was not very smooth so it made it seem like a slow pacelike in the part when the girl has her head in on the tree. I liked how at the end they conclude by saying to get some help and you can actualy see them, this makes the video more realistic because not only can you see the people in pictures but in real life as well.

Green screen workshop reflection

The green screen helps the people making the film put a diffrent backround while a person is talking about it. The important considerationa in filming with green screen background not to wear green or a color that is the same as the background. You should try to not move alot either to not leave the green screen area. Some problem you may encounter when using green screen is that you become kind see though, sometimes the background would work with you and not stay the way you want it (like ours, Dr.A said it was ok), and you may have people in the background and they woulnt be moving witch makes it look unrealistic. This is a problem, because you want to make it look the best as possible. For example gray is not a good color for green screen (wearing it). I think using Adobe P.Pro After Effects was very helpful in eliminating the background color (green) and applying the background you wanted. The technique that helped and was easy to use was the Keylight , this eliminated the grren background and helped it look more realistic when the backgroung was added.

REFLECTION on cyberbulling video

Reflections
The part of our video that im mostly pround of was the sound fitting in with the mood of the overall video. I like how when Dillon started to get beet by the giant cell phones there was a rock music and at the begining thier was a piano. The comments from others that were more helpful were that our video was short and that in the part were Michelle was talking it was to fast, I also thought that they had a point when they said that our vidoe didnt make sence at the end with the wheelbarrow scene for the credits. I thing that all of theise comments were super helpful when it came to making our final draft. Some changes that we made to our final video were: the ending credits and the sill pictures of the giant cellphones. We also took out the parts when they say"now here is...____". I think that if we ad another day or two we could have made our vidoe longer.
If I had the chance to do the project all over again I would have mad it longer and added more facts in it. I think that all these videos helped my understanding in things and how to make a video. I think that we should have incorperated more real life situations in our video and also spent more time editing it.

Templete Title

This is an example of a template title,This is on 1/3 of the page on the bottom. You might use this kind of title when you want to make your video look fancy or more like a news report or maybe you can't make this type of title on your own. It can be used to make it look more fancy people might like to use this type of title also more than making there own.

Overlay title

This is an example of an overlaytitle, which means that there is some words on the screen as you play the video, and you can see both the title is "over" the video but you can see both. You might use this kind of title when you want to have a discription on the video that is playing or you want the people to know somthing about what is being played.You can also put the location or time..ect

Title Full Screen

This is an example of an full screen title, which means that the vidoe is not playing at the same time that the tile. There not showing at the same time, the tile is first then you see the vido come on. You might use this kind of title when you want to introduce something or someone or as credits at the end of your video.

Lifting and Extracting

A simple cut in the timeline means that you are removing a clip and it looks like a gap. When you cut, the other clips in the timeline you take them out of the timeline.A ripple edit adjusts a clip’s In or Out point, making the clip longer or shorter, without leaving a gap in the Timeline. When you ripple delete, the other clips to the right of the deleted clipare streched out. Lifting and extracting are two ways to cut out a clip one at a time.

Inserts and Overlays

I learned how to insert a video into another video. So the time in the video wont be wierd, the girl is doing her jump on the horse when the 1 1/2 seconds is still going it was just like just a little brake. so you dont really miss anything. They are diffrent because the insert is cutting the first video and the overlay is running both videos at the same time. So when the girl is looking the horse is still jumping there is no pause this is the overlay. The insert Pauses the jump to have the girl look then replays the horse jumping. You may use insert to help show a persons emotions when somthing is happening.

Reflection: I think I am better at making titles.
I did a good job of helping my partner.
I'm happy with the way I made the titles.
I shlould have helpped my partner edit the clip more.
If i could do this project over, I would have added more clips.
On my next project, I need to remember to add more sound to my clip.
On my next project, i would like to learn how to fade clips into others.

One way I helped my partner was to make the title nice.
My partner helped me by editing the clip.
On this project I gained a better idea about how to make a clip using a veriety of clips. What helped me figure this out was to ask Jose.
One challange we faced was uploading the clip. We overcame this because we asked the teacher. He helped alot.

About the product: My final project didnt come out like i wanted it to, but i did the bect i could. The skills that i learned in this project was to import, to export and to upload videos on the bolg and youtube. What i liked about the final project was that i got to learn new things about how to upload things. Next time i would like to improve my editing.

About the process: I didnt really have a partner in this project, enrique changed classes or something like that. People around me and Dr.A helpped me alot in this project though. challenge that i faced was how to convert my video to post on youtube.

reflection:I thought that the moral lesson in this video was very good. I liked that the man didnt get mad at the little boy, and being patience.

i had alot of trouble "converting" the file, it took me all last call and most of this class. Overall i think it was a fun project, eventhough i lost my partner(he got swiched out). I had help though from other students.
